Missing Camera App Available in Play Store

If you've already got your Nexus 7, you might have noticed there is no way to open the camera and take pics out of the box. This app is basically the stock Android camera app, available to download for free: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...s?id=com.modaco.cameralauncher&token=KXwdWQF-

I think the intent is the camera is for video calls, G+ hangouts, etc. Not for taking vacation photos.

I wouldn't take my N7 outdoors for pictures, but indoors it could come in handy.

So I have the camera app installed, as well as G+, Facebook, Skype and none of them recognize the camera except for the actual camera app. Anyone else seeing this issue?

So, will this work for bar code scanning?

How about Camscaner? - this is a very useful app for taking pictures of documents/reciepts etc. that would be useful with the tab.

Even if you can get the camera to work the hard part is that you would have to be a contortionist to take anything but a picture of yourself
