Missing functionality with ICS

I've noticed some functionality items the dropped when my phone was automatically updated to ICS this morning.

First, I had the option of letting the screen stay on for up to an hour I believe with not activity. (May have actually been 3 hours). Now I am limited to 10 minutes. I listen to a police scanner on my phone when I am at work and when the screen goes off, so does the scanner.

Second, on GB, I had the ability to turn off/on the phones capability to turn the screen of when it detects it is in my pocket or my holster. The ICS does not allow me to control that now and always turns the screen off when I have it in my holster.

Third, and I may not be looking for this in the right place, but originally with GB in the apps area, I could see what apps were downloaded/installed and click a check box to move them to the apps area for easier/quicker access. Now, I cannot find a way to do this, nor can I find what other apps I have downloaded/installed.

Fourth, my battery drains a heck of a lot quicker than before. As I have been reading, others are having the same problem.

Screen on in GB had a 'Never' option...ICS max is 10 minutes.

Pocket detection is gone.

Menu>Manage Apps>Downloaded tab>tap to select app to move & tap Move to internal storage.

Don't set Wi-fi to notify available connections, disable bloat so it can't run in background, limit synch to manual...etc.

I also noticed when I use my Advanced Task Killer app to close apps running in the background, it now closes 14 apps. Originally with GB it only closed 9 apps.

I wouldn't suggest running a task killer to begin with. I used to until it was explained to me that apps in the background don't consume power, they just sit there. If you really don't want an app to self initialize, use the disable function in the manage apps settings menu.

Also have a work around for the screen timeout issue. There are apps on the market that still allow a never timeout option that the OS still respects. I've seen several, but I personally use the Android Assistant suite and it has the option too. The only draw back is if you go onto the OS main settings and simply access the display settings, it will default back to 1 min. Even if you don't change anything. Changing screen settings via other apps/widgets don't affect the never timeout, it's only if you go to the OS settings directly. I love the power control widget that is part of the stock widgets for the brightness control and other power saving options you can quickly toggle.
