Hi,
I have a client who recently replaced her N1 via warranty replacement. She noticed that the status / notification gadget that was originally on the second Home screen is not non the new phone.
It's a large version of the top status bar that has five icons: WiFi, BT, GPS, Sync, and (?) brightness. I wasn't sure what was missing until I watched a video on YouTube's GoogleNexusOne called "Set up your Nexus One" and it shows up 5:10 into the video but there is nothing in that video or any others I can find that identify this thing or tell how to put it there. I had planned to post the link but cannot. .jpg of the missing thing is attached, though.
I've tried all the obvious solutions like trying to add a widget, shortcut, folder, or even trying to find the old default wallpaper in case it was built into that somehow. I've looked in the manual, the Google N1 forums, and Google N1 Help but cannot locate it.
My best guess is maybe it was something that was only in Android 2.1 and perhaps her old phone didn't get updated and so she had the gadget until the phone broke. The new phone is 2.2 FRF91, FWIW. I'm out of clues on this one.
My user just wants things 'the way they were before'...
Hope this sounds/looks familiar to someone.
Rob
