OnePlus took it home this year. They made such an amazing product. I'm so happy for them! Wish they improve upon the camera a little bit with the OnePlus 7.

Yes, I'm not surprised. I mean let's be honest here the pixel 3 and 3XL are from Google but they're ugly. especially the XL with that big chin and not! There was an article that came out by gizmodo yesterday that states the same thing for the money and the features, oneplus6t is an amazing amazing phone which is why I plan on buying the 128 gig 8 gig of RAM model next April / May time. it looks good and has stock Android with oxygen OS tweaks which is perfect. There's no downfall.

I wouldn't say they've had 5 years of good products and marketing... I'd give em 3 years of really good products and 1 or 2 of ok marketing.

I can't comment on this one of course. OnePlus 6t will be my first one plus phone. As many other customers from T-Mobile and unlocked versions as well.

6T is my first phone from Oneplus. I have to admit, the only reason I got this was for the dual sim functionality with Verizon. My previous phones were mostly flagships. I am willing to sacrifice features to just carry 1 single phone and not lugging 2 phones all the time.

Well, tell you what, there were no sacrifices made. No Qi charging is not compromised by one of the fastest charger i have seen. Samsung pay- i have the watch to do it. Samsung gear works flawless with the 6t. And as for the apple ecosystem, well, i just use my iPad for that =)

6T doesnt have limitations. It can do all what my needs are and more. Gcam port is awesome! And the best battery management ive seen in android!

I watched it this morning. As other phones took awards and nominations for each category, I thought the 6T was gonna get left out. But then the final award came and I knew the 6T had it in the bag!

Agreed, 6t is a good phone but definitely not a smartphone of the year, thats just wrong. And it does have compromises, a few of them.

I think mkbhd based it on best bang for your buck. Yes is right though, it is very subjective. His awards, his choice.
