MLB.tv over tethering?

I was just about to purchase a MLB.tv subscription for the 2011 baseball season, when I saw that all local teams are blacked out. It said from using my IP address that the Reds and the Braves are considered to be in my market, so those would be blacked out.
I'm wondering if getting online on my laptop by using the Sprint hotspot would give me an IP address that would show me as being in a different market so I can watch the Braves games? Or would it still show me the same as my wireless internet at home?
I'm not very savvy with this IP addresses and all that stuff. I did run a couple of google searches but didn't yield anything.
Any tips or advice is much appreciated!!

I think it would work. When I tether and do a speedtest. The ip origins show that I am in Kansas city, mo.

I think it would be worth a shot.

Thanks for the tips. I tried it just now and it brought up my new IP address and said it was unable to determine my location. I hope it works!
