Mms download

Why is it that when I recieve a mms picture it needs to download for 20 sec before I can view it? Is there a way to have it ready to view when opened? Thanks

MMS downloads totally depend on your data connection speed (1x/3G/4G), so if you have a slow/lousy data connection your download time will suffer.
Have you tried running something like Speed Test: http://market.android.com/details?id=org.zwanoo.android.speedtest

I was just curious why it has to download at all. I had a blackberry and when someone would send me a pic it would already be downloaded when I opened text messages.

You can probably find a 3rd party Messaging app

that you can set to automatically download attachments but I'm not aware of any capability like that in the stock Messaging app.
Just one of the differences between BB & Android.

Blackberry like iPhone uses their proprietary messaging app. That is comparing Apples and Jelly Beans.
