MMS Messages Very Small

I agree, If this were simply a MMS compression issue, similar results would occur when sending any image, not just screen shots as it seems everyone is confirming.

The screenshots i get are coming across as 25 X 40, tiny 1.4 kb png files, but the ones i take are 720 x 1280 182 kb png files.

sending these from HTC One X to Iphone 4S they are fine, but any screenshot that sent iphone 4s to htc one x is too small to see.

maybe cross device issue with screenshots. What is different from a png taken on one device vs another?

All the screen caps I get from iPhone users come in looking super tiny like thumbnails.
if I try to zoom in on them they just become bigger but extremely blurry.

I'm on the HTC One X with ATT and this is happening with the built in messenger. With GO SMS Pro, the screen caps open full size, however, they are way too blurry to use.

MMS can be really important because I get screen caps of important messages people forward to me that way from iOS, like from family members. Now they're going to have to start e-mailing them.

I know you tried Go already, but have you tried Handcent? I see other threads out there on this issue (for lots of phones, but always from iphone), but the chatter doesn't seem to jive exactly with what you guys are seeing. Supposedly android compresses MMS by defualt, and Handcent doesn't. They also say that Go would not do that, but you note that it does, so take that for what it is worth.

I did see lots of talk about a USER AGENT that the MMS app reports to the network, that the network uses to determine what your phone can handle. The link below, which I in no way give any sort of seal of approval for (just found it from here- HTC One X - MMS items very small! - HTC) certainly seems to imply that Softbank modified the stock MMS (Android stock, not HTC stock, but should work) to include the correct user agent to allow pics from iphones. Sounds relevant, so I would give it a shot along with Handcent. I do not have a stock device handy atm, but is there a USER AGENT anywhere in settings?

I have the same problem on my One X with screen shots and also memes sent from the Rage Face app. This is extremely annoying, is there any hope of improvement?

I know this is a fairly old post however, I have been having the same problem. I have found that if you crop the screenshot, even slightly it sends fine. The same with receiving, if my friends (iPhone - Verizon) or my husband (Android HTC OneX - AT&T) crop their screen shots slightly it comes through normal and easily readable. So I have just got into the habit of cropping my screen shots a tad

Not sure if this will work, but for those with the poor quality MMS issue-

In the CM 10.1 thread, the developer there modified the stock MMS (CM stock, not sense stock) to allow for higher quality MMS. The link is here-

There is a link to the apk there, and it SHOULD be installable, but you may have to have root to push it manually like noted on that page. No idea if this will work on Sense, but I think it might. And if the app works, it would be a decent replacement for Sense Messaging, especially if it resolves the MMS issue, which it did for those CM users with the problem. Might be worth a try.

I talked with HTC support because I thought it was a settings issue on my HTC One X. They told me that it is a server issue. Specifically a back ent ATT server issue. Don't know what that means, but they told me that ATT might need to reprovision my line. I told ATT this and they did something like that. I still can't see the screenshots coming from an IPhone. Not sure about any others. Haven't gotten anyone with an android to send me a screenshot to know if I can see it coming from them. Hoping it works. Might help someone else though! Good Luck! It's really stupid to have screenshot if you can't receive it and see it in full screen.

Long hold on the text and download the attachments. Then open in your gallery app. I did this with all native apps. Kind of a workaround... But I could see them.

This also happened to my phone when I tried to update my Go Sms pro the size became smaller and also my Facebook app in my cellphone. How to change it to it's original size, thank you.
