I'm in a group message with others. Most are iphone and one other is Android. I get the messages in real time but sometimes they just freeze up and I stop getting them. They are all stuck in download and they never showed up for hours.

Verizon unlocked

Anyone else have this problem?

No, and I'm unlocked VZW too.

Videos, however, are a problem but as Tim Cook flippently said "buy your mom an iPhone."

It's weird. I can go to individual contact text threads and see that they sent messages and I have to click to download them they go to the group message

Do you have auto mms download on? If so, maybe then something is up/off with your carrier for this your circumstance. MMS is basically over data via carrier, at their whim. So, maybe they are screwing it up for that unique collection of group of numbers/exchanges.

Hey Mustang.... what were you referring to re: "... using Google/Samsung collab vs Samsung?
Reason being, wondering if the collab is better?
Thoughts... thanks man
I use the Google/Samsung Collab because you can respond with emojis to iphone users and it's becoming more customizable

Thanks for the response, man.
So, am still uncertain to which is which?

If remembering correctly, I use Samsung's (OEM) Messages.
Turned off Google's Messages, figuring it was more for a Pixel when setting up device.

Anyone thoughts welcome!

I find it confusing also, as I've never found anything in PlayStore or GalaxyStore indicated as a "Samsung/Google collaboration effort" or anything like that. I believe (mustang could confirm) that he is referring to the Google Messages App, that it was actually a Google/Samsung collaboration effort (even though it's listed in PlayStore as only from/by Google).

Your welcome!

Google/Samsung Collab message app is now default on Samsung I think since around s21

Samsung message app has RCS only on Carrier version .

Google/Samsung Collab has RCS on Carrier/unlock version and iphone emojis reaction and follows one UI layout like the big empty page at the top

Google messages in play store doesn't follow One UI

If you have the Google/Samsung messages when you long press it then tap info >it will say Samsung dynamic

There's more :

Google /Samsung Collab is slightly different on unlock and Carrier version

Unlocked is run chat by Google vibe

Carrier version run by that carrier chat Screenshot_20230322_082941_Settings.jpgScreenshot_20230322_084046_Messages.jpg

To the OP @donebrasko:
hope you got your question sorted. And my apologies for hijacking....

To @mustang7757 :
wow didn't even know all that info re: messaging apps; thank you.

Sir, i have a questions about using the Samsung Dynamic (Google) messaging app since I have it installed though turned off:
If turned on and set it as default messing app will my texts and history from Samsung (oem) app be there?
Will it have the features that Samsung integrated with their system, like sending contact a text from the phone app screen, etc? Thanks so much!

Finally an related though important question:
Since the recent "forums upgrade" the old hobbled AC mobile app is dead.
What do you use rather than a browser (which am using now) to work efficiently with AC?
Is there another app?
And it seems my acct signature info isn't editable now and picture is gone! Any thoughts or assistance would be appreciated. Thanks 😊 ✌️

So you can use either one of these apps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.quoord.tapatalkpro.activity

Regular AC app is no more.

Samsung and Google/Samsung sync up.even if decided to switch it up whenever , there will be some function the other does better than the one .
