I am on Sprint and I am unable to send a MMS (group message) over wifi? I was chatting with Sprint text support and they are trying to tell me this is a limitation for Android phones. I know this is BS because my wife has a HTC M8. Am I doing something wrong? Are others experiencing this with their Edge S6?

Their solution is to send MMS messages over mobile data. That is a pain because I do not think it is acceptable to have to toggle between mobile and wifi to send group messages. I did test and the group/MMS messaging does work on Mobile data so this is purely limited to my wifi being an issue

MMS requires cell data to send and receive. Some apps momentarily switch from WiFi to data at the point of sending or receiving.

I see, so maybe the native app for Samsung (touchwiz) does not do that? Is anyone aware of a texting app that does? I was thinking about downloading google or something else

I have had issues with the Google Messenger app doing (or not doing) this but never with the Samsung one.

Interesting. I will try a few different messanger apps. If anyone has a recommendation that doesnt force me to turn off wifi anytime i send a MMS please let me know. I never had an issue before and my wife's HTC works. It must be a thing with Samsung, bummer!
