MMS Photos being Compressed?

Tried searching, but couldn't find anything on the topic.

When I send a picture message to a friend, they say that the photo comes out much smaller and compressed than the original picture that I took, as in, it doesn't fill their screen like it did mine when I took it.

Anyone experienced this and found a fix for it?

file size is too big for the network to support it. I believe you have to take it in less than 5mp to send in current size.

It'll also take like 10 minutes to send it if you were to try to send an 8MP picture in a non-3G zone.

eh, still doing it even at 2 mp. wonder if it will be addressed in a MR or in 2.2?
