After updating to GB, I cannot send pictures via attachments to messages (non-email). The only way it works is when I am connected to a Wifi network - most times I am out in the middle of a field with no Wifi service and only connected to the network....I get a service denied notification :Unable to send message after multiple attempts (almost immediately).

Help cause Sprint wasnt!

First I would clear all data from the messing apps and do a battery pull if that does not fix it then u might want to consider a factory reset. Also are u rooted if so then it could be a slew of different problems and causes.

I have cleared the message cache and data, done a battery pull, updated my profile and PRL and talked to numerous "techs." the only option they say is a factory reset. I have heard that there is a data restore option but they won't tell me how to do it or that it won't work cause the messaging system is having an error issue for a lot of subscribers....frustrating when I am on the job site and there is no wifi or 4G and I need to upload pics to my boss....anymore ideas?

you really are just better off doing the factory reset and get your phone back to normal

I just got this error. My buddy just sent me 4 pictures and the first picture downloaded fine then the other 3 keep getting the service denied message.

Here is what you need to do to fix this. Go to messages (like your going to read one) click on menu, settings, mms, connection settings and then delete all information in the mms proxy and mms port. it should read not set. then you will be able to send and receive mms texts

Apparently there is a small group of Sprint techs that are testing this process for the "throngs" of users having this issue - it does create some bugs, but make sure you turn off the phone for about 30 seconds after you make the changes and it should work for you....the picturemail system on the network isn't recognizing the proxy and port vs. being on Wifi or 4G.

Message>menu>settings>MMS Setting>Connection setting> clear MMS proxy and MMS port so it reads (not set)......good to go!

So then what? After they fix the bug, do we never set the mms proxy or port again? I had the same problems, and had to delete them. It took 2 months until someone could finally fix it. Well a bandaid. This is after a hard restart and a new phone..
