(MMS) unable to send message. Retrying. Generic network failure

When I send an MMS, my phone says "Unable to send message. retrying. generic network failure". After a minute or two, it sends the message anyway but leaves the message in the notification panel. Anyone know what the deal is?

it means you have bad reception. solution: go somewhere with better reception. i deal with this all day in my house because it is a lead box with no reception.

sends and leaves the notification in the bar because you have "delivery reports" checked on in the settings. it lets you know once it has finally sent. just click on the notification and it goes away. or click "clear" in the upper right

I found the app quick settings to be my problem. I got the APN widget by curvefish from the market to reset the settings back to default. follow the link below if this don't work.

You can always go into Menu>Settings>Applications>Manage>Running> find the messages app and force stop it as well as clear data then reload the app and see if that takes care of any issues that you are having.

Having same issues with EVO. Exactly which method did you use? I'm hoping the Curvefish widget will do the trick...

I am attempting to follow these directions but I cannot get my phone to teather to my pc properly....Its asking for a disk to install driver software and I was not provided with one from Sprint when I purchased the phone. Any ideas?
