MMS..Work and Then Not Work

I have been noticing that I will get an MMS the picture will display fine, and then a few hours later or the next day, it shows a little download button. If I click the download button it just ends up in an infinite loop, never actually downloading. Does anyone know what is going on? Is there a fix?

I have MMS in my plan, it runs on ICS.

This thread is pretty dead so I don't really expect an answer. Worth a shot though.
