Mobile data always on switch

So I was reading an article that said to save battery life on the 6 pro, you should turn off mobile data always on in the developer settings. Does anyone know if that really hurts anything if I shut that off? I guess it's supposed to save battery because mobile data will be turned off when you are on Wi-Fi.

Yup. If you're not on WiFi, you'd basically have the phone in Airplane Mode (minus calls) while the screen is off. No notifications. no background data, nada.
