Mobile Data Disconnected!

Hello,

Just installed AOSP Rom this morning and everything was good for quite a while. Couple hours later after being outside of VM service area I get back and it will no longer connect to mobile data. I can call/text fine but no mobile data. I reinstalled the ROM and had no mobile data again. Any ideas?

i have no data right now after switching kernals. weird.

I suppose I should have checked my roommates phone.. he is stock and has no data either. Crap.. now I have to reinstall all my apps!

LOL yeah ive experienced this back when i had big red on my Droid. Pain in the ass haha

Try this on your roommate's phone: No data fix, this is how I fixed my phone - xda-developers

Or install a 2.2 rom and try it. I worked for me.

I'm in DFW, TX area and my data wasn't working either. I recently installed Rodimus and thought that might be the cause. I checked my wife's optimus V (stock, not even rooted) and her data is down as well. I'm guessing they are having some sort of outage tonight/today.

Because he's rooted and running a custom ROM/Kernel combo.

Here we go again! wow has anyone called VM for an update on the issue? I keep getting a busy signal...how typical. lol Outage from Cali to Miami, Fl...not a good sign!

I'm talking to someone from VM right now. He's completely clueless and simply said he will put in a trouble ticket that will have a possible 24 hour turn around time.

I told him my friends who have the same phone are all having the same problem.

He asked me if I could send / receive texts. I told him yes I can. He then responded "well it doesnt sound like you're having any issues then!"

Their support seems pretty clueless.

Well I guess this is on a stock phone. But glad im not the only one.

mine is working great, my wifes is doing the no network thing. hers is stock mine is rooted and modded all to get out. Its really annoying... like others its not even showing the 3g or even 1x icon.. this really shouldnt be happening...

Your connection is working properly? That doesn't seem likely, are you sure your wifi isn't on?
