Mobile Network Active (4G) is working but voice is not.

[Android Central Question]

I am using a Samsung Galaxy A10e SM-A 102U1

I recieved a fresh sim from QLink wireless and popped it it. Did a network reset. Cool 4g works. However. I have no voice. I Have tried reinserting the sim, restarting. Network resets again. A factory reset. And still nothing. The phone lists is my number as "unknown" and Mobile Network was Active but Service as Out of Service.

I can't seem to find a fix and everytime I try to make a call I get a "Not registered on network" error. However I can turn off my wifi and use my 4g data just fine. I'm quite confused.

Have you tried to reset the APN?

Does Sim work in another phone?

Okay thanks, I just got registered and all. Anyway I have no other phone to test the sim in to check. I tried to manually add an APN using what I could find online on the networks settings however it does not add to the screen when I do. The only APN listed is "PLDT wholesale"

Can you reset that APN?

I have tried to reset it to default however it remains the same. Yet it remains the same after the process completes. It will not allow me to discard it either. Or add another. Both options seem to have no affect

Try safe mode if it gets a signal, strange you can't add one

Just rebooted into safe mode. Still no changes when trying to use dialer. I still am getting the same "Not registered on network" error. And also cannot seem to alter the APNs to any affect.

How long you had this phone?

I bought the phone about a month or so ago but had to wait for a sim card from my provider to get shipped to me which I just now was able to pick up. The phone was supposed to not be locked to any carrier and I verified that it should be compatible to move to my carrier with the sim. Now I'm starting to not be so sure about it,lol.

I would contact them, something not right.

Yeah, I guess I will have to. I mean my data is connected just fine with the sim so it isn't that. I just checked and made sure and the data I have been using today is from my carrier. So I am not sure what the issue is. Or why options aren't working for me.

The problem you can't call, or change APN, even reset it, something wrong with the phone but you can't test your Sim in another phone.
