Mobile network standby battery drain issue on Moto Razr 5G

So I just got this new Moto Razr 5G recently and the phone is great but I noticed an unusually large amount of battery drain caused by Mobile Network Standby.

At times it goes as high as 30%. But the weird thing is the other day I used the phone for a while and drained the battery like 10% from fully charged, but it said screen on only used 2% and Mobile network standby used 8%. So either the software has a glitch that attributes most of the drain to mobile network standby, or something network related is running in the background draining the battery.

I've tried to factory reset phone, network settings, messed with 5G/4G but it still shows lots of drain which I'm not entirely sure is real.

Any ideas? I looked it up and saw a lot of complaints in the Pixel community about the drain issues with MNS but no solutions.

How is your signal strength in dBm? If the phone is searching for a signal where it is weak, then that will drain the battery.

Welcome to Android Central! After the January update on my Pixel 6 Pro, I noticed that Mobile Network percentage went up, but Cell Standby disappeared, so I suspect they may have combined the two (or something to that effect). The real question is what your overall battery life has been like (it's continued to be excellent on my 6 Pro). Since you mention that the battery only dropped 10% after using the phone for a while, I would suspect that the percentage battery usage reported for Mobile Network is normal.
