Just curious what Mobile Security, if any, everyone is using and why. I am thinking about giving Webroot a go.

I had avg... but when i saw lookout... I changed to lookout!!! Not that avg was bad.. it was great. It'd just that lookout has for features than avg... like gps mapping of a lost stolen phone and siren alarm for lost stolen phone and contact backup

@ jerseyboy357: Webroot Mobile Security has the following features:
? Proactively scans all downloads
? ?Scream? functionality to find your device
? ?Call/SMS Blocking?
? Works on Rooted devices
? Remotely locates your mobile device
? Remotely wipes and locks your mobile device
? Blocks harmful websites
That will be my first download when I get my phone on Thursday.
Ahhh thanks for the reference. I'll check into it. And in thanks, I present you this attached picture. And for anyone else that wants it.
Has AVG resolved the issue of noting everything that is a rooted app was showing as a virus. I have a rooted device and AVG was telling me everything that used SU rights was a virus and that was crazy? I downloaded the first build and noticed this but I know it was because the method used to gain root is viewed as a exploit but this is still a false positive situation.
Don't rely too heavily on these apps, remember that they only scan for the apps they know about, and once they know about them Google's probably already pulled them. Nothing is a substitute for common sense (don't download apps that look shady, don't use pirate app stores, don't be among the first to download an app, and, most importantly, READ THE APP PERMISSIONS!). Apps often need Internet and coarse location information for ads (devs have to eat, too), but a game that needs to read your contact information or send SMS should raise a red flag.
