This has probably been addressed before, but I don't seem to be able to find the answer.....why is it when I turn on Wi-Fi then turn it off, I have to reboot the phone in order to connect to internet again? Is there an easier way? Is this common? Thanks so much for any help.

No, that is not normal. Have you been playing with any of the radio settings?

Thanks, Robrecht

No I have not played with any of the settings...other than when the latest update came out, I set the phone to 3G only...I am not in a 4G area. The phone is not rooted. When I turn on Wi-Fi, my 3G icon disappears. Is that suppose to happen? And when I turn off Wi-Fi I wait for the 3G icon to reappear. Should this reappear immediately? Or does it take a few minutes? Maybe I'm not being patient enough, but after a minute or two it doesn't reconnect so I reboot. It will start with 1G then finally go to 3G. Kind of a pain.

Menu, Settings, Wireless & networks, Mobile network -- I assume this setting is checked so it reads: "Use phone for data connection when Wi-Fi is unavailble."

Give tech support a call, and when you feel you're talking to someone who's moderately intelligent, follow their directions to troubleshoot (& perhaps) replace the phone.

Is the SSID of the network you are trying to connect to hidden? I was having wi-fi problems when using a network with a hidden SSID. I started broadcasting my SSID and now I don't have any wi-fi connecting problems.

You could always try a factory reset to see if that fixes it, especially since if you call tech support they will have you do one anyway. It should take less than a minute to switch back to 3G when you turn off WiFi.

Less than a minute? It should take less than 10 seconds.

Well all of a sudden, it's working now! Maybe I didn't have something checked under settings I should have...I'm baffled, but at least it's working!!
