Mobile unlocked, pictures to transfer to Laptop, onscreen message says no pics found

[Android Central Question]

My mobile is turned on, unlocked with dozens of pictures to transfer to my laptop yet I get onscreen message saying no pictures found.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? What directory are the pictures save to -- /DCIM/Camera? Are they saved to Internal Storage or an SD card?
