So I had the RAZR HD for about a week, but switched to the maxx HD because the battery life was awful. Now my maxx HD is getting similar battery problems. I have a cache cleaner clearing my cache every half hour and a task killer doing the same thing. I thought it might have been.google music, even though I wasn't streaming and the music was usually off my sd card. Now I have the paid version of Pierson but the battery life.is still lacking And the music still skips and glitches quite often.. Could this be the new update? Should I try a factory reset?

I don't know why you're using a cache cleaner and task killer. Those are the reason your battery life is suffering.

Task killer is killing your battery. I've never tried a cache cleaner though.

I get at least 19hrs+ out of my phone before I have to recharge, usually in the teens for percentage. Games, Flipboard, Online games, & apps syncing either hourly, daily, and push. Only thing that drains my battery badly is when I'm in the subway & forget to turn off Data, drains approx. 10% during the 1hr ride.

Heck, I get between 2-3 days on a full charge (and that's with conference calls of multiple hours each day, at least 40-80 texts a a day, and also running Touchdown HD to actively sync my exchange e-mail from work). Course mine is but a little over a week old.

I've also been very impressed with the outstanding battery life. Even the first week or so when I was playing with the Razr continuously, I still got a full day with power to spare.

Mine has been suffering more since the last update. I could go 8 hours with around 80% left and now I'm down to high 60's. I just did a factory reset Sunday and no change. It is however, slightly faster

I did a factory reset and only downloaded about 60% of the apps I had before. Its been running better and getting better battery life but I feel like I should be able to have those other apps and still have good battery life.

Complain to the manufacture of those OTHER apps then. Unfortunately you can't do much when an app is a resource hog.
