Motion Photos...Why Haven't We Seen Examples or At Least Chatter About it on AC?

It's not useful to me at all. If I want a still photo, I'll take a photo. If I want to memorialize something in motion, I'll take a video.

Turned it off right away after experiencing it - and its weird files - with my iPhone. Mini video files all over you hard drive or SD card if you use it. It's not just one file.

I did discuss about it before on the forums. It is kind of cool as a novelty, but not really useful otherwise

I may turn it on for photos at family parties, but for normal photos it adds no value for me.

Yeah... same here... it's a cool feature, just not sure how much utility that have. My wife takes a billion pictures and videos, but they all end up in albums that she makes on Shutterfly and she makes video compliations, so the motion pics there are kind of useless. Maybe if Google beefs up Photos to play them, like they did with the Live Photos thing on iOS. When I told my wife about it, and showed her, she said "Neat... but if you wanted a video, why not just take a video?"
