Moto 360 + Edge S6. Notifications NOT Working

Hi everyone.

I've had my Moto 360 for over a year, but for the past many months, I've been having an issue that's really frustrating me.

In May 2015, I got a Samsung S6. At first, my text and email notifications showed up on my watch just fine. But months later, it stopped working.

As of today, whenever a text or email pops up on my phone, it's almost never pushed to my watch. Sometimes, resetting the phone will allow messages to once again be pushed to the watch, but after a few hours to a day, it stops working.

Can anyone help me with this? It's extremely frustrating, because for me, the main reason to have a smartwatch is to be able to read texts and emails without having to pull out the phone.

None of my apps are blocked. I've tried a factory resetting, unpairing and repairing the watch, among a few other things. When I go to "Android Wear" app and select "Try out watch notifications," the test notifications are successfully pushed to my watch all the time! So I don't understand why the same isn't being done with texts, emails (or other apps for that matter).

Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I feel like I've tried everything.

Welcome to Android Central!

Have you made sure that Android Wear has access to the notifications?

Go to settings, Lock screen and security, Other security settings, notification access, make sure that it is turned on for Android Wear.

Well, the weird thing is I don't see "Lock screen and security" as an option under "Settings."

I do see "Permissions," and under that I can select "System permission" followed by "Android Wear." After doing so, I show "Contacts, Location, and Microphone" set as ENABLED.

Furthermore, when I swipe down, I see Notifications set to "All," as noted by the bell symbol.

Still, I am forced to reset my phone every so often in order for messages to be pushed to the watch.

Sorry, I have the S7 and assumed you had the same settings menu. It would probably be under settings, then security.

Under Settings, I only show the following:

Adjust brightness
Change watch face
Font size
Gestures
Ambient screen
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Airplane mode
Accessibility
Date & time
Screen lock
Permissions
Unpair with phone
Power off
About

EDIT: And just in case you actually wanted me to look at "Settings" under the "Android Wear" app on my Edge 6 (and not Settings on my watch), these are the options I show.

Calendar settings
Block app notifications
Mute phone alerts & calls
Get tips about watch features
Together
Privacy & personal data

When I hit "Try out watch notifications" on the Android Wear app, the test messages are always successfully pushed to my watch.
