Moto 360 is a horrible clock

I have a Moto 360 and when it turns itself off at night the clock in it appears to stop, as when I turn it back on the morning (not all) the clock is wrong. And, some morning it will stay incorrect for more than an hour after being turned on. Also, it is not a battery issue as the battery had over 50% when we turned it on this morning.

I find it pretty odd that the Moto 360 cannot keep time by itself, without being synced to a phone.

Here is a photo I took this morning and it is synced with the Note 4 in this photo.

Sad to read you're having issues, but I have to disagree with your title, the Moto 360 is an AWESOME watch. But I see that your particular experience differs, so I wouldn't go as far as claiming that all Moto360's are crap, but would rather try to see why yours is acting so weridly.

Yes, the Moto360 needs to pair with a phone to sync time. No, it doesn't need the phone to keep time, but it does sync from time to time to make sure that hardware variations are not affecting the time keeping by seconds. That being said, the issue you're seeing is definitely NOT how it's supposed to be. And I do use the watch with a Note 4, just like you.

I'd try two things:
1) Reset the watch (long press the side button and select the appropriate option. This will 'wipe' your watch and bring it back to a clean slate. You'll need to re-pair your watch with your phone.
2) If that doesn't work, just get it replaced. It's very well under warranty and it's not something that it should be doing, at all.

Well, I should have titled the thread My Moto 360... After reseting my Moto 360 the clock appears fine so far.

I just find it surprising this is an issue I have had. A smartphone does not loss time when in airplane mode and you turn it off.
