Moto 360 is going back - my reasons why

Wait a year, right now, these things make little sense. Since it asks you to use it either like a expensive watch that does little, or a cheap smartphone that dies quickly. Either way, it's not a sustainable proposition.

People can defend it all they can, it's still a niche product right now.

I fully agree with your comment. I tend to love new tech and gadgets, but I have yet to understand the usefulness of the current smartwatches. Maybe when some cool new apps are developed, but right now they just don't fit any of my current needs. The new Samsung one seems kind of interesting in having its own sim card, but still that would be kind of a pain to use with my current plan.

Right now the wearable market is changing fast. I think Samsung is already on their 3rd or 4th generation watch in one year. My guess is that all of these companies are going to go through similar changes. Will be interesting to see what is available in 12 months.

With Moto 360s going for $300 to $500 on eBay it seems like taking it back would be the last thing I'd do.

Completely agree, except Samsung is probably the worst example for a company that makes efficient products =)

But yah, my wife thought it was absolutely stupid and useless... The sad thing was that I couldn't disagree with her. So you can view notifications on your watch... so?

It'd be interesting to see how Google will allow Android Wear to evolve. Until then, I guess I'll keep yearning for another good reason to buy it.
