Moto 360v2 or Gear S2

Looking at new Gear S2 or a 360v2 any suggestions?

That one largely depends on what you intend to use the device for... The S2 is not Android Wear and simply doesn't have as many third party apps as Android Wear does. The Moto 360 v2 is Android Wear and is getting pretty refined. The S2 does have a new, unique rotating bezel tho and some benefits that comes with it.

There is a case to made for both sides, really.

I had the Huawei watch cuz I was curious of Android Wear, but returned the 2nd replacement 2 days ago. It was way to buggy and laggy. I came from being an owner of Samsung Tizen watches: original Galaxy Gear, Gear 2, Gear S, and Gear S2. I hated SVoice, Google Now is so much better. I now own the new Fossil Q Founder, the best looking watch to date, imo. I find AW very limiting, and the interface is really lacking. If Tizen has Google Now, it would be a winning watch all around. As for this watch, I have 90 days to return it.
