Moto E4 Ignite UI error after reset to factory settings

I have done a recovery reset to factory settings. After that I have answered many questions on the screen before starting the operating system, which should be Nougat. Then the screen freezes and I get an error message: "Ignite UI does not answer. Close app or wait". I have tried both alternatives. Nothing happens. I have tried another hard reset to factory settings without luck. What should I do?

The phone was NOT malfunctioning before. I did a mistake by disabling Gboard assuming there would be a simpler keyboard built into the system. When one starts the phone it is not possible to type in the password, which is natural if there is only one keyboard.

I could not find an open WiFi without passwords or check boxes the phone could connect to. That would have been a possibility to load the keyboard on the phone via a computer and a Google account.

So, I resorted to the reset, which worked until the normal phone GUI of Android should be seen. Then the screen freezes, see first paragraph above.

Welcome to Android Central! Why did you do the factory reset in the first place -- was the phone malfunctioning beforehand?
 
Thank you for the reply. I have added some background text in the original message, after the first paragraph, as well as an image of the frozen screen.
 
The phone is now working. I have no idea why! I left it off during the night and started it recently and it works perfectly. Thank you B.Diddy for taking the time to read the message.
