Question Moto edge 50 locked

My motorola edge 50 pro is showing "locked by admin" for two days. We have not done anything from our side. No screen lock added till now. What to do?

Welcome to Android Central! Where did you get this phone? Was it brand new directly from Motorola or your carrier, or did you get it from some 3rd party seller? If the latter, there's more chance that it was used or refurbished (or worse yet, stolen), and was previously set up to be managed by a company's IT department.

Now I factory resetted it through find my device and now it's working just like before!

You mean that, via that app, you bought it used from a private seller, or new from a retailer, or what?

In india, motorola depends on online retail platforms like Amazon and flipkart and leading retail companies offline like reliance digital, for its sales. There are no carriers which sell phones other than Jio which makes their own phones.

Well, if I bought a phone, of any brand, new or used, from any source, that showed “Locked By Admin”, I’d want to know why. As things are, you still don’t know why.
