Moto G 3rd Gen - Scrolling/Tap sensitivity

I can't scroll through anything on the facebook or bbc apps without it opening links or "liking" everything. The screen is ludicrously jerky and oversensitive. I've already set the touch delay to long and lowered the mouse pointer speed and its made no difference. Is this a known problem or have I got a bad unit?

Try resetting phone to factory settings. If you keep having the same problem then you got a defective unit.

This is one of the more common problems with Moto G 2015... Seems to be exaggerated by Marshmallow and tempered glass screen protectors.

Remove any screen protector, wipe caches, and if those two things fail, try a full factory reset.
