Hey guys. I heard that the Moto G is experiencing a lot of problems when you update it to Lollipop. Are these problems still going on or have they been fixed?

Apparently it has become completely unusable! Even making a phone call is difficult. It is very slow and buggy. Battery drains too quickly. A lot of people are saying don't install it and stay with kitkat. Any truth in this?

My Moto G works great after Lollipop. Smooth performance and even better battery life. The only problem is a bit of lag in the dialer, nothing terrible though. I'm happy I upgraded.

Ok great. Can you take a screen shot of the default UI by any chance? Curious to know if it is the same as the moto g2.

You're going to find many differences. Material design is all around and you have to decide if you like it or not before updating. I really like it. I use Nova as my main launcher.

What kind of screenshot do you mean?

Ok. The screenshot I am after is you know when you first install lollipop. The default UI on home screen. Background wallpaper, etc.

In your homescreen you're going to notice that the Google search bar changed and the new notifications pop up. There're differences as well in the app drawer and the settings background. Some of them you can change using a custom launcher (the same was with kitkat). This is my homescreen, but I think is not going to help you much (done with Nova) :)

This is the look with the stock launcher.

Just updated to Lollipop on my Moto G (Vodafone UK). Went very well until I realised that, after the update, the launcher was still the old KitKat one. Downloaded the Google Now Launcher and set it as default and all is well. Love Lollipop! :)
