I noticed that whenever I charge my Moto G while it's on and with the battery level below 30%, it only charges to a maximum of 99% regardless of how long it is left to charge, even overnight, and the battery status still remains as charging. Only by unplugging the charger and plugging it in again does the phone charge to 100% and show the status as Charged.
This issue does not happen if the battery level is above 30% or the phone is off while being charged.
Wonder if anyone else experiences this problem, is it a battery issue or software issue? I've calibrated the battery a number of times already but this issue still persists.
I'm currently using a Moto G (XT1033) 8GB running on Android 4.4.2, system version: 171.44.31.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.03 and build number: KXB20.25-1.31.
