I'm a new Android user and have just started playing with my new Moto G running Kitkat. I have downloaded a number of useful utilities and apps to get started. But recently in looking through the apps I noticed that the icon for Google Keyboard is not included in the app section. If I look in the Settings menu under apps I do see the Keyboard icon showing. On my Android store account I also see Google Keyboard listed as one of the installed apps. I'm wondering what might have happened to cause the app icon not to appear in the normal app section of the phone and how to get it back. Thanks

If you go to Settings>Language and Input>Google Keyboard>Advanced Settings and scroll to the bottom, there should be an option to show the keyboard in the app draw.

the keyboard icon is missing so I'm unable to type. the display-icon feature is not in settings.
