Moto G - hide pin keypad on pressing wake button

I just switched from iOS, got the moto G and updated it to 4.4. Since i have dashClock installed to view notifications on the lockscreen, i wanted to know if there is any way to NOT show the pin prompt automatically when i press the wake button, and just show the expanded dashclock widget (which i've replace my defsault clock widget with) instead.
