Question moto g stylus xt2115dl

I have a moto g stylus xt2115dl version 11 and want to upgrade to version 12 or higher.
The cell repair shop said the moto stylus xt2115dl with 11 could not be upgraded to 12.
Is this correct or is it maybe the shop did not know how to upgrade?

They're not wrong. Officially, the Stylus 2021 did NOT receive an update to Android 12. There are ways to force it or install custom ROMs that have this higher version, but no official way to upgrade to 12 from Motorola or your carrier.
