I purchased a Moto G5+ (4 gb/64 gb) phone almost 2 years ago, (Sept/14/2017) cert.refurbished/unlocked. It's running Android 8.1.0
It is no longer receiving security updates.
I am perfectly satisfied with the phone, yet I'm wondering how important is it to have a phone that is continually scheduled to received security updates?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Usage:
Browsing internet, phone calls, text, email, streaming to chromecast, GPS, banking apps. All apps updated via Play Store.
I also have Avast Antivirus on the phone, if that helps at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd prefer not to rush out and purchase another phone, if it's really not a dangerous prospect in using it.
Thoughts?
