Android Central Question

My phone is about 2.5 years old, so I understand there is going to be some battery drain. However, last week my phone needed to be charged once every 2 days. In the last few days it needs to be charged 3-4 times a day. (I go to sleep when it's at 100% and by morning the battery is dead). This despite being left on battery saver, and with wifi off.

I went on to battery usage to find out why since I don't have any background apps, and it says 146% System, 37% Mobile Network standby, 18% Apps, 8% Phone idle, 0% Wifi, 0% Bluetooth. Which confuses me as usually percentages add up to 100...

I have tried to take a screenshot, but my phone gives an error "Couldn't capture screenshot. Can't save screenshot due to limited storage space." Which is odd as I have plenty of space. However I decided to delete some things anyway. After about 5 minutes my internal storage loaded, I realized that 'system' was taking up 7GB of space, I am not sure if this is normal. And all attempts to move folders to my SD were met with 'internal error's.

I don't know whether this is all the result of one problem or many. If anybody has any idea of fixes please let me know. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums. How did you set the SD card, as adoptable/internal or as portable/external storage? If as portable, unmount it temporarily and see if the problems persist.

Welcome to Android Central! Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:

1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which may show Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

You might have to install a 3rd party battery monitor, like GSam Battery Monitor, to get the Cell Signal Strength graph.
