Moto G5 Plus not reading sim card

Hi, I put a Ting sim into the phone and it will not read. I know the sim card is ok because I tested in a Nexus 5x. When I go to cellular network settings and go to network operators, it gives me an error. I have wiped the cache, reseted the network and phone settings, and retyped the APN. Any help please

When I bought my son-in-law a Moto G5 we could not get it to automatically register on the US Cellular network. He had to go to a local store and they configured it for him.
