If you are thinking of a standard Moto G5, I would look in to this.
(I bought a run out G4 6 - 8 weeks ago and pleased I did. The G5 Plus was £100 more).

Yeah, it looks very interesting. Basically a Z2 Play without the mods, cheaper, a bigger battery and better screen-to-body ratio. Not bad for a mid-ranger.

You must be right. I hadn't seen it that way.

Yeh looks much better (or even better) value.

I was worried about the SD430 with the G5 along with the smaller screen, though I'm sure it's been great for owners.
I was also worried about the reviews of the SD617 I have (even with higher clock speeds) , but it's been great.

I'm finding the lack of a compass sensor becoming a small pain, is all.

It seems unclear if both S versions will have the same SoC.

I figure @Ry is on vacation or he'd be all over this two days ago

The G5S and G5S+ now feature on the Motorola UK website.

Comparing the G5+ with the G5S+ the main differences seem to be the cameras (dual lenses on the rear, 8 megapixel front) and the screen size (5.5", but the same number of pixels). You get Nougat 7.1 instead of 7.0. Oh, and the whole body is metal, if you care about that.

No price yet, but I suspect it's not worth the extra money. Same processors, RAM, storage and sensors (on the UK versions at least).
