Moto play home screen

No matter what I am doing it keeps going to the home screen any help would be greatfull

How's long have you had this device?

How long has it been doing this?

How often does it happen? Every few minutes, randomly a few times an hour, 2-3 times a day...

Do you have a screen protector and/or a case on your device?

When you say no matter what your doing, we assume you mean if you're in other apps it takes you to the home screen as if you pressed the home button, how is this device set up for navigation? Gesture navigation or buttons? Have you recently change from one to the other?

Are you using the stock UI or a third party UI like Nova launcher?

I don't know Moto that well but have you checked your settings for features like, touch sensitivity, or pocket mode? These settings can affect how sensitive the screen is and block unintentional inputs. On my Samsung these are under Display in the settings.

Is there anything you're doing to workaround this? Does restarting the phone, turning something on and off, holding the phone upside down block this for any period of time and then it starts again? Anything like that?

If you're using a screen protector is it damaged in any of the corners or is it raised anywhere? This can lead to phantom touches so maybe consider removing it and applying a new one. Cleaning the screen may help if this has just started or if it comes back after time. If you're using gestures consider trying buttons for a while to see if it helps.
