Moto Wireless idea?

Years ago I had a phone that was not wireless. Someone had figured out how to make a set of coils that you could tape to the inside of a case and make your phone wireless. I have the wireless Moto mod and a bumper. I don't really like either one. I would like to have a wraparound case that protects the back, sides, and face. It does not look like anyone makes one of these that is wireless for my Z2 play. It would seem to me it would be rather easy to figure out which pins on the back are for wireless charging and market a set of coils that you could tape to the inside of a case that covered everything. I like the Moto Z2 play but I also really really like wireless charging. The only bumper that I have found that works well with my Moto is really not that good of a bumper. Ideas? Or is this already available somewhere?

Essentially, you want a case that adds wireless charging via the Moto Mod pins but really isn't a Moto Mod because it would only be for the Z2 Play?

but how would you have it wrap around the sides like a bumper when every Moto Z has a different thickness?

My apologies for not explaining my idea. The idea is you can use any case you want, I like otterbox. You would simply connect the coils to the pins on the phone, tape it to the back of the phone and use your own case. I did this years ago when Qi charging first came out.

This sounds like a potential mod idea, except the mod is a very thin inductive coil encased in something very thin you can just slip into any full coverage case. Problem is this hypothetical mod of sorts would require a way to stay attached to the phone as with no magnets (for obvious reasons), those coils would disconnect the moment you try to put the phone in the case unless you tape it down, which won't fly for an actual product instead of a hack-job.

Also, this would kinda hurt moto mod sales in terms of the style shells with wireless charging so I doubt Lenovorola/Motonovo would actually greenlight this idea ;)
