Moto X 2014 Looks great, but slick

I got my black Moto X with natural leather back yesterday. The metal trim and the leather look AWESOME!! The only problem is they are both very smooth and I constantly feel like I will drop it at any moment. I don't really want to put it in a case, but I may have to.

Anyone else finding it a little slick?

I have the wood back and same thoughts. I really don't want a case, but worry about a bad drop. I still don't see anything I like as far as cases though. They either cover it up too much or look ridiculous.

I have the bamboo back and don't find it slippery at all. That said, I'm not a dry hand kind of guy, and I could see it being slippery if my hands were dry.

It will be interesting to see how the leather backs age, and whether they get smoother with time.
