Why don't we have this enabled? Is it to favor the Moto X gallery (which I'm not fond of)? I really like the movie feature in Google Photos, is there a way to enable it?

BTW, the '13 Moto X has the movie option enabled.

Is your Auto Awesome on? In Photos, tap menu, then Settings, then your account name, and make sure Auto Awesome is checked on.

Re: No movie making in Google Photos

Auto Awesome movie generation isn't under the user's control--Google+ will analyze your photos and, based on some magic algorithm, will determine if a series of photos would be good for an Auto Awesome Movie or a Story. I've gotten one or two movies and stories, but they don't occur frequently.

Try uploading a number of closely related photos (like vacation photos) into the same folder, or photos that are clearly sequential.

I understand, but in Photos you press the "+" button and could normally make a Movie, Motion or Mix. "Movie" is missing.

Oh, I see. To be honest, I never checked that before myself. Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google+ and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now try again.

I'm equally frustrated. A movie was auto-created for me so I did some digging and found that the original Moto X had the option to manually initiate an auto-awesome movie but it seems the 2014 Moto X doesn't have this enabled.

i also have moto generation 2nd mobile and loved the option of movie in photos of google plus apps in moto g..but it is missing in moto gen 2nd..
you say you got back in moto x...can you help me please..
