Moto X 2014 settings not saving?

Hi guys
Moto X 2014 still on Kitkat even though my 2 other phones updated over a week ago.
Some of my settings revert after a reboot? Never had this happen on other phones.
Screen sleep time
voicemail number
usb connection settings
Some others I haven't noticed no doubt
all revert back to default after a reboot?
Don't think it's a kitkat issue as I have never experienced it on my Nexus's
Anyone else had this and found a solution?
Cheers

I can't find a solution. The vibration feels like it's loose or falling off, really not happy with the build quality.
I'm going to return it I think.

I've never heard of that one before. Mine keeps the settings just fine between reboots.

Have you tried a factory reset, just to make sure it's not some oddball issue?

It's only been set up a week, I think it may be the sim, I use a virtual network that runs on O2 I think it's diverting to their voicemail number, I set it as speed dial, the other stuff I can live with I guess.see what lollipop brings (shudders)
vibration thing seems fine again after a light tap on the back....

That sounds like something was mounted improperly. Having said that, I've only had mine a couple of weeks and I don't use vibrate for any notifications.

Screen sleep time and USB settings, at the very least, should not be affected by the SIM. Those sound like the memory location that holds those settings isn't updating properly so when they get read back from ROM at boot time the factory setting is still there. That MAY be fixable through a data wipe/factory reset, or it may not.

Between those two problems, I'd ask for an exchange unit if that is possible.

nah I'll either live with it or return it I have until January 14th. It's actually a lot more likely to be not shutting down cleanly, I'll play hunt the app now I know it's not a common issue.
Cheers.
It's the sim changing the voicemail number, it sticks to whatever I enter with the sim removed.
