Moto X : Active Display

I am not seeing Gmail notifications at all on my active display. Do I need to fiddle with the settings for this to work?

Should just work out of the box. But JIC, go into the settings and make sure gmail is checked.

I was having the same problem then just sent a test email from my wor and it seems to be working now. Open Gmail on your phone and go to 'Label settings'. I currently have the "Label notifications" box checked. Under 'Settings' select the email account you are using and make sure 'Notifications' is checked.

I will have to test a few other emails to make sure these notifications continue.

So it works with any apps that can give notifications? Very cool.

I made sure that this was checked but till I enabled "Label notifications" option Gmail messages did not show up on the Active Display

I've realized that a few of my apps have various audible and vibrate notifications. I'm starting to turn these off and let the active display notify me of all new messages.
