Now that the X has 5.1, anyone have any information about the availability of Advanced Calling? Seems like it should've been available from the start...

Sadly there is no information about it. Motorola and Verizon are blaming each other for not having it. Talk to Moto it's Verizons fault. Talk to Verizon it's Motos fault.

Had I known what I know today about this phone I wouldn't have bought it. I bought it on the premise that we were going to get VoLTE and all of the cool features that came with it. I remember reading an article that it was supposed to be the first phone to get it. Don't bother asking Verizon because you get two answers 1. It's Motos fault waiting on an update from them 2. It will be coming in the next update.

You never buy a phone based on what potentially can do. You buy it for what it can do, period. It's still a good phone without advanced calling.

When I first read this post I did not know what advanced calling was... then I did some googling and found it was a Verizon feature... so I did not answer, but kept following along when I saw others post to it.

Now after thinking about bigguy's reply for a while, I found it very interesting that Verizon blames Moto and Moto blames Verizon... and I remembered the same thing happening with one of my Verizon phones in the past, and it wasn't with Moto at the time. Think about that a second. Just one of the many reasons I'm not with Verizon anymore.

I think we all understand that Verizon is full of ****.

I am still relying on their network, tho.
