Moto X: Compass always 45 degrees off

[Clocks]

As the title says Maps thinks I'm looking 45* off to one side. I tried a few of those compass apps to calibrate but nothing works. Any suggestions or a good app to try?

Mine is the same. People say its Google Maps that's screwed up

Weirdly when i hold the phone flat is off by about 45? but if I hold it vertically, it is accurate measured against a real compass.

Sort of like when it would be in a navigation dock?

Ya pretty much though must of the compass apps look like something you would use in the woods

Same here, & my old HTC did it too. Pretty sure it's a G Maps thing & it's been around for a while. It's also kind of random as to how far off the angle is each time I see the problem. One time it was just rotating around like I was spinning in circles.
