Moto X - Compatibility with French Networks

I'll be moving to Paris in March and need to buy a new phone (currently on Verizon). The Moto X appeals to me a lot, and I'm really curious as to whether I should be able to buy it here in the states and use it internationally. I believe so, but I'm rather naive about this and want to make sure. Can anybody help me out? I'd appreciate it!
