moto x contacts picture problems

So I set up my contacts on my moto x and it asked me how I want to complete the action of setting the picture. I picked one and accidentally clicked the always use this option. Now every time I try to add a picture it let's me pick one, but then when it goes to crop it the picture isn't there and it won't let me put the picture on the contact. Any ideas?

What app or service did you select? Go to settings > app > app you set as always and clear defaults. Adding a photo will ask you to select an action again. Choose the service you feel comfortable with.
