Moto X, Nexus 5, or Moto X+1?

Hello AC users!

I am currently using a Nexus 4, and have been for almost 2 years in October. This has been a great little phone for me, but unfortunately its starting to get a bit long in the tooth. The speed and sluggishness of the phone are starting to irk me, as well as the lack of LTE. My friend showed me his Nexus 5 the other day on AT&T LTE (which is also my carrier of choice) and he was pulling in 50Mb/s Download speeds, while I can pull a measly 6Mb/s. Anyways, there are other reasons but I won't bore you about them.

Now for why I am starting this thread. Would you rather purchase the Moto X for $350 off contract, purchase the Nexus 5 off contract, or wait for the next Moto X (Moto X+1)? I believe I can wait a bit longer, but who knows how much the next Moto X will cost off contract (I use AT&T's prepaid service). Any opinions from you guys would be most helpful, thanks! :D

I got my moto x when they had the mothers day promo... I had to choose between nexus 5 and moto x, I picked moto x bc I heard a lot of complains about battery life for nexus 5...

I'll say just wait for moto x +1 bc they might drop the price the moto x again..

I agree - I would wait for the X+1 before making a final decision, especially since you don't mind waiting a bit longer.

The Nexus 4 only "officially" have 3G and AT&T 3G is not very fast, so 6mbps is expected.

Get a used Moto X AT&T version on swappa.com for $200, spend an additional $15 to unlock it if needed.

If you want a new phone than buy a new phone. I got my Moto X about a month and a half ago knowing that the next version is coming out soon. Its a great phone at a great price. Its Nexus software with just a few useful features added. I can't live without active display, touchless control, and assist now. Unless you are one of those people that has to have the latest thing at all times than buy what you want now. I'm probably going to buy the next version of the X but it will be at least a year from now. In general I buy a new phone when the warrantee expires.
