I don't believe you can. Perhaps there is a hack available for rooted phones.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah. I've tried everything. I bought mine from the Verizon store, I never set the name. But for some reason my greeting name is a lowercase "s" that's it, just a "s". My question is why or how did my greeting name just be the letter "s" . Stupid we can't change that stock..

How do I change the banner greeting?

To display or change your greeting:
1. Press OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Display > Foregrounds > Greeting Banner.
2. To change the greeting text, scroll to the greeting and enter text using your keypad.

To turn off the banner, scroll to the Greeting Banner check box and press OK to clear it.
3. Press Done (left softkey).

I just erased mine while reseting fabric configuration, and theres no going back, I've already checked with motorola :( so if you do this you can get rid of that greeting!
